COVID-19 Guidelines

We are currently experiencing the second largest surge in COVID-19 cases in Los Angeles County. Please be advised of our COVID-19 precautions.

They are as follows (Updated 1/4/2024):

  • All visitors are required to wear masks indoors at all times, regardless of vaccination status. Masks must not have valves and cannot be neck gaiters; they must be worn correctly. For those without a mask, KN95 face masks are available at the front desk.

  • Please keep a distance of 6 feet from others when feasible.

  • To ensure ventilation, we open doors and use an air purifier and fans as conditions allow. Hand sanitizer is available. We frequently disinfect surfaces and door handles.

  • For outdoor events, we strongly recommend mask-wearing.

  • No eating or drinking inside Matilija Lending Library.

  • The library may close for lunch breaks. Please see posted signs.

  • We advise regular COVID-19 testing and the use of masks and social distancing. If you've tested positive for COVID, show symptoms, or have been in close contact with someone who has COVID or shows symptoms, we request that you stay home.
